23 burning questions we have about the PGA Tour-LIV Golf merger!

When it happened, it read like an April Fools: the PGA and DP World Tour was partnering with LIV Golf's Saudi backers.

But this was no joke. After nearly two years, we are apparently at the beginning of the end of petty back-and-forth insults on social media, tee-flicking, legal wranglings and foreboding emails.

Surely, you jest.

If you're like us over at GolfMagic, you'll have an abundance of questions. Primarily, about what will happen next.

Here are just some of the burning questions we have:

1. Is this merger actually good for golf?

2. Will players who stayed loyal to the PGA, DP World Tour be financially compensated? Should they? Do they deserve to be?

3. What will happen to LIV Golf?

4. What will the tournament schedule ultimately look like?

5. Will PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan resign?

6. What role will DP World Tour chief executive Keith Pelley have in all of this?

7. What will happen to the Ryder Cup?

8. Which side won golf's civil war?!

9. Is team golf here to stay?

10. When can LIV Golf players such as Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau return to the PGA Tour?

11. Will they have to pay back a portion of their earnings before doing so?

12. What will happen to Greg Norman?

13. What will become of the DP World Tour?

14. Can the likes of Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood be involved in the Ryder Cup in some capacity if Luke Donald chooses?

15. Will this merger *actually* happen?

16. What does Tiger Woods make of all this?

17. Was Phil Mickelson right? Did he win?

18. Exactly how much money is the PIF investing into golf?

19. What will this new entity be called?

20. Is this news, ultimately, a good thing for the DP World Tour?

21. Can players on the PGA Tour now wear shorts?!

22. Will LIV Golf now just be fast-tracked to having OWGR points?

23. Is the strategic alliance between LIV Golf and the MENA Tour over? (RIP).
