Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore have released a statement confirming they have not "been threatened" by the R&A if they were to host a LIV Golf tournament.

The LIV Golf Invitational Series does not look like it will be slowing down any time soon, despite the drama finally making its way to the court room.

And because the controversial circuit has expanded it's schedule to a total of 14 events next year as it debuts its league format, new venues are needed.

We do not know exactly where the extra LIV Golf events will be played. It's likely Trump International Doonbeg will be at least one.

LIV Golf have already played at one Trump course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Trump Doral, in Miami, will host the $50million season finale.

Another venue also being considered for 2023-2024 is Sentosa Golf Club. Apparently, the R&A sent out a warning saying it would be "shunned by the golf world" if it became a LIV Golf venue.

According to Sentosa Golf Club, this is absolutely not the case

They released this statement, which you can read below:

The venue has previously been recognised as the world's best golf club by the R&A and it has hosted a number of amateur and professional events.

The governing body also opened an office at Sentosa in 2016, describing that it was to "further its commitment to the growth and development of golf throughout Asia-Pacific".

Greg Norman, the LIV Golf Investments chief executive, has recently taken another swipe at R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers.

Chief of Norman's complaints about Slumbers is that he allegedly didn't state any opposition to LIV in a previous meeting.

It's clear that if this were true then Slumbers has changed his tune considerably. Before the 150th Open Championship, he described LIV Golf as "not credible".
