Phil Mickelson "didn't speak at all" at controversial Masters Champions…

LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson "sat at the end of the table and said nothing" during the controversial Masters Champions Dinner at Augusta National on Tuesday night.

Mickelson was one of 33 past Masters champions in the room as defending champion Scottie Scheffler served dinner.

But according to 1979 Masters champion Fuzzy Zoeller, three-time winner Mickelson kept his head down and said very little.

There was no mention of LIV Golf at the Masters Champions Dinner, despite six players from the Saudi-bankrolled circuit in attendance.

LIV Golf players in attendance were Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Charl Schwartzel and Bubba Watson

It marked the first year of The Masters where LIV Golf players had been in attendance following LIV's inauguration last June.

Sir Nick Faldo tweeted: "I’m sure you’re all wondering about the temperature in the room, it was all calm and cool. Only the tortilla soup was spicy hot!I’m sure you’re all wondering about the temperature in the room, it was all calm and cool. Only the tortilla soup was spicy hot!"

For many players, it was the first time they had met up with their PGA Tour rivals and fellow golf legends.

Zoeller told Golfweek

"Nobody said a word about it [LIV Golf vs PGA Tour]. Phil [Mickelson] sat near the end of the table and kept to himself. He didn’t speak at all."

Zoeller is one of only three players to win The Masters on his first appearance at Augusta.

Tommy Aaron, who won The Masters in 1973, spoke about Fred Couples who recently bashed Mickelson over his $200m LIV Golf fee ahead of golf's first major of the season.

According to Aaron, Couples reigned things in over the dinner table.

"Couples spoke a lot but didn’t mention LIV at all. I sat next to Freddie, and he and Ray Floyd kept trying to figure out how many champions had come out of the final group."

Scheffler served a selection of cheesburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, tortilla soup, Texas ribeye or blackened redfish, and warm chocolate chip skiller cookie with milk and cookies ice cream.

In total there are 18 LIV Golf players competing in The Masters.

We've assessed each of their chances of a victory with some ratings.
