Rory McIlroy schedule and results 2026: When and where is Masters champion playing next?

Rory McIlroy brought the curtain down on his incredible 2024-2025 season at the Australian Open. 

The Northern Irishman, 36, finished in a share of 14th place at Royal Melbourne on his first start in a professional golf event Down Under in more than a decade. 

His appearance in Australia followed another memorable few weeks where he capped off an unforgettable year by winning the Race to Dubai again. 

The memorable year included completing the career grand slam with a play-off victory over Justin Rose at the 2025 Masters, Ryder Cup success and victories at Pebble Beach and the K Club. 

McIlroy has not announced his full 2025-2026 schedule yet but it is understood that it will remain, for the most part, largely unchanged. 

He will begin the season in the Middle East, teeing it up at the Dubai Invitational and the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour before heading to the United States. 

McIlroy is expected to tee it up in the Tiger Woods-hosted Genesis Invitational, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship before he heads to Augusta National to defend the green jacket. 

The PGA Tour have also unveiled a new signature event, the Cadillac Championship, which will be contested on the famed Blue Monster at Trump National Doral in late April. 

It remains to be seen when and where McIlroy will play in 2026. He previously outlined plans to reduce his schedule given his age. 

He's also spoken of his desire to play more tournaments outside of America, highlighting the importance of national opens. 

What we do know, though, is that McIlroy will tee it up at the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in May, the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in June and The Open at Royal Birkdale in July.
