Rory McIlroy schedule: When is he playing next?
Rory McIlroy 2025 schedule: Find out when the Northern Irishman will be playing next on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and in the major championships.
Rory McIlroy will take a short break from professional golf before turning his focus to the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont.
McIlroy had been aiming to become the first golfer since Jordan Spieth in 2015 to win the first two majors of the calendar year.
But the Northern Irishman was not at his best during the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, despite the course having hosted four of his professional victories.
McIlroy's next appearance will be at the 2025 Canadian Open, held at TPC Toronto from June 5–8.
He will then head to Pennsylvania for the third men's major of the year.
The remainder of McIlroy's 2025 schedule appears similar to previous years.
He has already confirmed he will use the Genesis Scottish Open as prep for the final men's major of the year at Royal Portrush.
There are some changes, though. He has recently added the Australian Open and the inaugural DP World India Championship to his calendar.
McIlroy has committed to playing in the Australian Open for the next two years and will tee it up in Delhi for the first time as a professional.
Rory McIlroy's season so far
McIlroy commenced his season, once again, in the Middle East.
He shared fourth place at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January before he made his way to the U.S. to compete on the PGA Tour.
His first victory of 2025 arrived at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It was his 27th title on the North American circuit.
McIlroy then tied for 15th in the Genesis Invitational and shared 17th place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Then he became a two-time winner of The Players Championship in March.
McIlroy told reporters that he was either going to play the Texas Children Houston's Open or Valero Texas Open before heading to Augusta National to try and win the green jacket.
He opted for to tee it up in the Texas Children's Houston Open where he finished in a share for fifth.
Two weeks later, McIlroy triumphed at Augusta to complete the career grand slam.
McIlroy did not play a professional golf event for two weeks as he celebrated fulfilling his childhood ambition.
He returned to action alongside his good friend Shane Lowry at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The pair were defending champions at the PGA Tour's team event but they could only muster a T12 finish.
McIlroy then played in the Truist Championship before heading to Quail Hollow for the PGA Championship.
