Rory McIlroy schedule and results 2026: When and where is Masters champion playing next?

Rory McIlroy has kicked off his 2025/2026 campaign. 

The Northern Irishman began his season, as ever, in the Middle East on the DP World Tour. 

McIlroy, 36, enjoyed a solid start to the calendar year with a solid top-five finish at the Dubai Invitational.

He did not have his best stuff but surged into contention in the final round, only to blow his chances down the stretch. 

McIlroy is back in action this week at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. 

He is attempting to win the Rolex Series event for a fifth time. 

McIlroy won the Dallah Trophy in 2009, 2015, 2023 and again in 2024. 

He heads into the 2026 season off the back of his most remarkable career as a professional to date. 

Last April, the Northern Irishman ended his 11-year wait for a major championship with a play-off victory over Justin Rose at The Masters.

The achievement saw McIlroy join Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Gene Sarazen, Gary Player and Ben Hogan as winners of the career grand slam. 

McIlroy also won top titles at The Players Championship, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Amgen Irish Open. 

In team competition, McIlroy was pivotal in Europe's Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage Black, contributing 3.5 points as the blue and gold won in hostile territory for the first time since 2012. 

He capped off his season by securing a seventh Race to Dubai title and was also honoured as the BBC Sports Personality of the Year for his achievements. 

McIlroy has not revealed his full 2026 schedule yet. 

Last season, he spoke of his desire to dramatically reduce his schedule to around 20-22 tournaments. 

McIlroy also outlined his plans to play in more national opens.
