A man from South Melbourne, Australia has won $1 million and intends to travel the world playing golf on luxury tours.

The man held one of the five division-winning tickets to Saturday's TattsLotto draw and each winner collected a staggering $1,205,992.96 each.

The winning choices were 32, 16, 29, 26, 30, 4, with supplementary numbers 43 and 37 and the man was half asleep when he checked his ticket to make sure that he had won.

"I found out on Saturday night after the draw. It was quite late at night, so I was half asleep when I checked my ticket," the lucky winner said.

"Honestly, it was great! I was on my own at the time so I couldn't really jump up and down and get too excited about it. But it was awesome knowing I'd won."

The man eventually celebrated his win with his family and friends. After considering what he should do with his winnings, he looked to one of his main passions in life.

"I love golf, so this is going to mean more time to enjoy that," he added.

"I would love to play golf all around the world. So the plan is to buy some new golf gear and plan some really nice golf tours next year."

I think that this man represents how many of us would act if we had just won $1 million. He now has the chance to play some incredible courses in some incredible countries.

The man from Australia admitted that not all of the $1,205,992.96 would be spent on golf, but worldwide tours to different golf clubs are high on the agenda.
