U.S. Open field 2025: Who is playing at Oakmont?

U.S. Open field 2025: The third men's major of the year will be played over 12-15 June at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

The field for the 2025 U.S. Open is close to being finalised after Final Qualifying took place.

Golf's longest day - a 36-hole shootout - saw hundreds of golfers trying to punch their ticket into the major at 10 different qualifying sites.

Max Homa and Rickie Fowler were the notables to miss out after both were involved in a five-for-one playoff in Ohio.

Players that made it through the marathon included European Ryder Cup hopeful Matt Wallace and PGA Tour members Erik van Rooyen and Cameron Young.

Niklas Norgaard, Thorbjorn Olesen, Victor Perez, Mark Hubbard, Emiliano Grillo and LIV Golf recruit Marc Leishman also qualified for the U.S. Open.

English amateur Tyler Weaver, 22, and 17-year-old Mason Howell will also make their U.S. Open debuts.

The U.S. Open will feature a field of 156 players from around the world.

It includes a mix of exempt players (who qualified based on past performance and world rankings) and those who advanced through qualifying rounds.

The 2025 edition of the major will take place from 12-15 June.

The field will be headlined by Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Jon Rahm, and defending champion Bryson DeChambeau.

Scheffler will head into the major in search of his fourth win from five starts.

The American, 28, grabbed his third major title at last month's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina.

In addition to Rahm and DeChambeau, LIV's Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Tyrrell Hatton, and Dustin Johnson will also believe they can contend.

Phil Mickelson needs to win the U.S. Open to complete the career grand slam.

It will be a tall order for "Lefty" to join the history books now, though, given he is 54 years old.

Only a few spots for the 2025 U.S. Open are up for grabs now.

Players ranked in the top 60 of the Official World Golf Ranking, who are not otherwise exempt, will be added to the field on 9 June.

GolfMagic has listed the field so far and how they qualified for the U.S. Open below.
